Bill, You are correct Charley said is was a Fisk carburetor. He also said that Fisk was mysterious killed back in the 1950s. I did a goggle search and found collaborating information to his story. The design patents indicate that the gasoline came through ports in the throttle shaft. We have met another person who was familiar with these 100 mpg carburetor designs at a car show a few weeks ago. One of the key factors was the use of fuel that had a very high vapor pressure and would easily volatize and form a gas that could be highly diluted and still combust. Some validity to this exists. Smokey Yunick, adiabadic engine used this technology. As you know, there is a D with Smokey's prototype engine and we say it run at DMCH a few years ago.
