  Why don't each of the DMA old heads (and anyone else with an opinion) respond with three simple Yes/No answers:

  1) Charles Muffley's carb conversion was OK.
  2) Bill Robertson's carb conversion is OK.
  3) Everyone else's carb conversions are OK.

  I will note the Message # of each response, then if anyone ever says otherwise in the future simply refer back to their answers above.
