It sounds like the main relay is cutting out. Loose wire, burned internal contacts or weakened internal coil. There are two of them - in the electrical access with most of the other relays and fuses behind the passenger seat. They are mounted sort of out of sight and are larger than the headlight, fan relays, etc. The one with the WHITE wires not the WHITE/BLUE wires would be the one I would check/replace or just replace. Be sure the connections are all secure. Check fuse number 1 too.
