I once had squeeks-o-plenty from the bushing on top of the shock tower also. It helps if you have an assistant to bounce the car while you are down there listening. -A little spray grease and it hasn't come back in years. You may have parts that need replacing but lubricating can't hurt and while you are lubing the front end you can inspect things. Spray silicone on the upper and lower spring perches, steering column bushing, and sway bar bushings. Grease the ball joints and the tie rod ends. Don't forget you should also be lubing the speedometer angle drive and checking the C/V boots and trailing arm bolts. Could be a bad shock or shock mount.
