Methinks a different thought ...There is much discussion about what these changes will do to the column/frame. But I've never hear any discussion about reinforcing the column/frame. Seems there are at least two general options: 1) weld support to the column/frame 2) non-welded support added to the column/frame Has anyone thought of where the reinforcement would be needed? MeAlsoThinks that the total forces exerted via the LCA is the same before and after the mod. No additional load/force has been added. The difference is that the loads my be expressed via different paths and potentially longer lever arms. Anyone have the capability to model this. I think this is an Finite Element Analysis (FEA) problem. Me done thinking :-) ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
