Welcome back! Actually, yes. Two vendors now supply driver-side torsion bar replacement options. DMOCO sells a torsion bar very similar to the original. From what I understand, they specifically sought out a company that has been making torsion bars for race applications and worked closely with them to manufacture this "new and improved" torsion bar. Haven't heard anything bad about the units. http://www.dmoco.com/Torsion.html The other is Heninger and Associates. They sell a "coiled spring" type of rod. No modifications are neccessary to get it to fit, it's a drop-in replacement. Interesting to see, and I understand it performs its job as well as the original torsion bar. http://deloreannewparts.com/store/page11.html Video of the product in action: http://www.youtube.com/DeloreanUpgradeParts -Kevin VIN 2234 --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "jrc2905" <jrc2905@...> wrote: > >> Now I see that there is a new torsion bar for sale? > Do I read this right, because if I can replace that part if needed my 82 will be back on the road. If it is true I want to thank who ever put the time and effort in making that part. > ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
