[DML] Re: Auto trans shift Kit

Yes, but some auto trannies of Ds are by far faster than others.
My old 2572 could outrun a Mini Cooper at a traffic sign start.
Of course it was no match for my Pontiac, but that one is 15 year younger and had a better auto tranny (being a smooth shifter at the same time).

Welmoed.

Pulling the vacuum line will make the shifts a little harder too but most won't even notice the difference. (On a lot of auto's I find the thing isn't even connected!) On the turbo automatic you lose the vacuum modulator anyway, it doesn't know what to do with the pressure! The main reason for harder shifts (shiFt kit) is so you go right from 1 gear to another. Most auto's when they shift are slipping in 2 gears at the same time so you wear the clutches more. It is a softer shift though. On some cars you don't even notice the shift unless you watch the tach. (Not talking about only Deloreans here)
