Also from the files here we have a "company cars/assigned vehicles" listing dated September 17th, 1981. It lists 502, 528, 530 and 558 assigned to Legend Industries. In the footnotes it indicates that 502 was a "DMCL Air Ship" so it was probably one of the first batch of cars flown in. The other three are listed as "Pearl Ace" cars, which *I believe* was the name of the ship that they were loaded on from Belfast. There are an additional 22 cars marked "1st 22 units", including 520, which is reported to have been flown in, as well. 805 was assigned to Roy Nesseth, and was an automatic - IMO unlikely to have had a Legend engine installed. But, while we are looking for specific cars.. Anyone know where 501 is?? Stories have been passed around that "one of the legend cars" burned up in a fire (not 805, driven by Roy Nesseth that is rumored to have had a Legend engine in it). But that story has not been documented and (if it is true) we don't know if it was 501 or 558. http://www.pjgrady.co.uk//GenericContent.aspx?PageType=Legend_Industries <http://www.pjgrady.co.uk/GenericContent.aspx?PageType=Legend_Industries&Sho wContent=Legend_VIN558.html> &ShowContent=Legend_VIN558.html http://www.pjgrady.co.uk//GenericContent.aspx?PageType=Legend_Industries <http://www.pjgrady.co.uk/GenericContent.aspx?PageType=Legend_Industries&Sho wContent=Legend_VIN501.html> &ShowContent=Legend_VIN501.html Lots of us are searching for these cars.. :) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
