I have been carrying extinguishers in my cars since the seventies. It saved my 67 Ford from a power steering hose fire that happened just as I was to put the car in a garage in the apartment complex that I lived in. I carry 2 extinguishers, the normal powder one and a Halon extinguisher for electrical fires. I hope that I will never have to use them ever again.
