I have a DMCH unit with about 25,000 on it (5 or 6 years). No issues. My original one had about 55,000 on it when it went bad but, a frozen cable caused the angle drive to break. The point - be sure to also check the cables for proper function when you replace the drive. I understand current options available are the DMCH improved version & the SpecialT version that is sealed for life, but has a replacable shaft. Both have a 1 year warranty. > > I'm not sure how long either of these have been available but does anyone have any comments, good or bad on either of these The biggest differences are lubrication & the drive shaft/cable design....each having their own merits.
