OK, I had a thought on traveling to Belfast. I've been flying commercially since before I was born and it is really not fun anymore. I do not feel any safer now than I did 20+ years ago. If I could, I would go Greyhound to Ireland. Anyway, if there are a fair amount of folks heading "across the pond", what are the ramifications of chartering, say, a 767 just for us. Wouldn't have to endure the TSA cheesy "security" process; we would be our own security, and it might be cheaper than commercial. Of course, we could fly directly to Belfast, rather than have it as a secondary, tertiary, etc. stop in the itinerary. I've also thought about going "Cessna Airlines", but it IS rather expensive, & I would need a WHALE of a tail wind to make it on the allotted fuel. -sigh!- So, thoughts? Possible? Logistics? We have ~4 mos. to plan something.
