Insurance varies greatly depending on the State you live in. Even with the same company they offer different policies and the rules and insurance limits can be very different because each State has different requirements on the insurance companies. State farm may not even offer insurance to customers in another State (at least new ones). You cannot go on the advice of someone in another State because of this unless they are familiar with the rules in your State. Get many quotes and pick the one that best suits your needs. Unless you are using the Delorean as a daily driver your best bet is classic type insurance. Don't get stuck on any particular company, to operate in your State they must be licensed and to do that they have to meet certain minimum standards. Most of the companies that offer classic insurance are licensed to operate in all of the States. If you buy classic type and pay over around $400 something is wrong.
