I had Farmer's Ins. on my Delorean from '82-'87. They sent the same kind of letter to me- No re-renewal next time. I sent them a VERY hot letter, CC to my agent. They replied appologetically that they made a mistake & would continue the "D" coverage.... at a HIGHER RATE. I was sorry that the Co. & I were dumping on my agent, but I told them to stuff it. Added it to my other vehicles' Allstate coverage, & that's where it has been ever since. I did move the '38 Buick to J. C. Taylor & saved some bucks, but still have 2 with Allstate. VERY pleased. IMHO, I think it is all a racket. An unanswered question I have posed to my agents, receiving puzzled looks, is: If a vehicle is NOT for sale, what is it worth? Try asking that when a PERFECTLY GOOD vehicle is totaled because it would cost more to repair than it is "worth". Things that make you go "hmmmm".
