The lack of official car count was due to me. I go and photograph all the cars license plates on saturday and give ken the count. The show is too large for me to cover everything. In Gettysburg I had a friend help, and didn't have a baby in tow who kept us up at night I was very overwhelmed with trying to capture everything and still be a husband and father at the same time. Enter Marc Levy..... He saw me running crazy on saturday and took my camera for an hour to let me unwind and eat lunch. Marc photographed all the license plates and vin plates at the show. There were 89 plates officially photographed, but Marc later realized he missed one section of the lot. I would assume that with those missed cars, and perhaps a few that were out on the road at the time, we had 100-105 cars in attendance for the show. I just had a chance last night to do the official photo count. Sorry for not having it on Saturday. Thanks to Ken, Marc, and everyone else who worked so hard so the rest of us could just enjoy the show. I do have a couple of fun follow-up questions from the show, though. -- What DCS show so far has been the largest in terms of number of people and number of cars? How many cars/people came to DCS 2010 (Ken usually announces this during Saturday dinner). -- In the Delorean Archive, there were a couple of letters between Penthouse to DMC about a contest where Penthouse gave away a Delorean in a sweepstakes... Penthouse wrote along the lines of "We talked about doing last year, and now that we've given away a Delorean.. when can we expect delivery?"... and DMC basically responded "Wait, what?" I'm curious how this ended up.. did DMC send them a car in exchange for "promotional consideration" or was Penthouse left holding the bag on the sweepstakes? -- And finally, I saw the Toy "Claw Crane" Vending machine in the hallway during the show with an "Out of Order" sign on it... and then on Sunday, I saw Ken loading it up into a truck. Is this some inside joke or other Delorean reference I don't get? Seems like a long way to transport the cabinet which doesn't work. Was it at other shows, too? thanks, -Hank #1619 (keeping it for now) ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
