PS - slight topic shift, this is the side view mirrors. Argh. . Not a hardware store, a good auto parts store. Ask for 3M trim tape. It's a thin double-sided foam tape used to attach bodyside mouldings. Make sure you completely cover the back of the mirror glass with it or you'll eventually see lines in the mirror. Back to the rear view mirrorL The inside rear view mirror should have the tape already applied to the mirror. Peal off the paper and stick to the windshield. Make sure the windshield is antiseptically clean and dry. You get one chance. --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "rgalichon" <rgalichon@...> wrote: > > I bought side-view mirrors and a rear-view mirror from one of the vendors. The side-view mirrors description said they came with the necessary tape. It turns out they didn't and I was later advised by the vendor to "go to a local hardware store and buy some". Result: I'm sitting on brand new side-view mirrors and a rear-view mirror - none of which is installed. > > I checked a couple of the vendors for "3M VHB mounting tape".
