Steve,

 

Your car?s heater box had multiple problems but ultimately the two half?s
didn?t properly mate and had to be replaced. Farrar stated his problem is a
?rain only? issue so his situation is different. When I get a few more
minutes I will try to answer his question directly. Thank you for your input
and I?ll see you at the ?spring social?.

Farrar,

I know exactly where you are coming from. When it used to rain, A/C was on
(turned out the box was deformed), or washing my car, I used to get water
all in my car. Turns out after spending lots of time on the problem and two
visits to Rob Grady's shop that there is a piece in the air inlet that was
never sealed to the fiberglass body. As a result, any form of water or item
that fell into the air intake went directly into my evap box, and even
straight into the car!

I'm not sure of the procedure to fix it, maybe Rob can chime in, but I would
have never found this if I hadn't taken it to Rob and keep complaining that
water would come into the car, even on a light sprinkle.
