Rich,
I see a pending order by check in our store.  I'm not sure what the PayPal issue was as it seems to be working for others so far.  From what I've seen, when people submit the order, PayPal interacts with our store & does NOT automatically send out a confirmation.  When we confirm receipt of the order in our store, a notification is sent.

Either way, when your check arrives, I'll confirm receipt via e-mail & you'll be "all good".
