Well, I'll know when to change the oil because I'll have my unofficial digital odometer. My thought was that it would be easier to claim "no odometer" than to claim my homebrew digital odometer is a legally valid device. But you do have a point on the mileage limitations of collector titles and collector insurance. However, I currently have no limits, and I really never intend to sell the car. If for some reason I did, I suppose I would reinstall the original odometer and sign something stating that the odometer was no longer accurate. I guess I'll call the BMV. But surely, there are other people out there who have created custom instrument panels for road-legal cars, right? -Mike C ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
