My thought on the whole DMC-toy-movie car-logo-Houston thing. . . (Legal mumbo jumbo aside, which apparently isn't an insurmountable issue, given the number of products already out there. . .) I really dislike it every time someone calls a DeLorean 'Bricklin,' 'Lamborghini,' or just asks 'What kind of car izat?' (I put the silver letters on my hood AND bumper, just to make the name stand out more.) So, when an opportunity to promote the name 'DeLorean' is dismissed, promoting instead, anonymity and further speculation about 'What kind of car izat?' -I find it a disappointment. I hope a plan has been put into place to manage 'Future' opportunities, whether it be a $1. 'token' licensing fee, or other. There really is a factory manufacturing new DeLoreans, -by the thousands and thousands. They should have the name on them.
