[DML] Variations in DMC hot wheels - Premiere vs Regular?

My (awesome) wife snagged me a DMC hot wheels today at Walmart, and when I got home there was a package in the mail from a friend with two more of them inside

The cars vary in packaging.   The box mailed to me has the cars mounted on a smaller backboard, and says "HW Premiere"

The Walmart one does not say that and appears to have a backboard almost 40% larger than the Premiere one

The premiere cars are supposed have been gotten from DMHC shipment before mailed to me

Any ideas on why the variations?
