I've used both a Uhaul Dolly and a Uhaul car hauler and prefer the latter, though you need something big to tow it. I know how to load a trailer with the weight in front, so I front loaded the car as far forward as possible. I didn't check with scales, but it lookes and felt as though the majority of the weight was before the center of the trailer axles. I towed my D at "highway speeds" with no trouble. When I picked up my most recent D I used a friend's Tahoe with the same results. I didn't want to rear load it to keep the HOOD and louvers intact and for aerodynamic reasons. Yes, if your hood latch is questionable...YOU MIGHT LOSE IT or it'll fold over on you like another owner I met. A hood is one thing you do NOT want to have to buy, especially if it's grooved or flapped. ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
