I found an old article from a dmc publication in oregon (1998) ?The ?97 DeLorean is Here by Bob Brandys? It covers various upgrades and among them the fitment of a Rover V8 to a custom ZF transmission. It also highlights the fact that the Rover engine is the same weight as the PRV engine. As there are bell housings available for the 5 speed UN1 how come more people do not fit the Rover engine? Also, does anyone know if my SCEDT26T8BD004854 ever belonged to Burt Reynolds? I may also convert another Auto D to a 5 speed but where do I find the parts I need? The transmission to start with? From an old Renault in Europe perhaps.
