You will be fortunate if the studs come out and do no twist off or break. You should expect to replace all of the studs and nuts along with the crossover gaskets and studs/bolts. I'm sure this happened when you did the heads too. PJ Grady sells an excellent kit for this purpose - it has everything you need but the tools. The gaskets he sells are the full gasket type not individual gaskets for each port. They seem more durable and probably last much longer. The head gaskets are fine so I have no need to remove the cylinder heads. In the cramped confines of the engine bay, what are the preferred methods of removing the exhaust manifolds? The fasteners are pretty badly rusted. I'm betting that the studs will come out rather than the nuts coming loose from the studs. Advice is appreciated. > > Rich A. > #5335 > ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
