A lot of good ideas in there!  I look forward to having you join the ranks of DeLorean owners, and welcome you as an enthusiast!  Looking forward to seeing you at DCS 2010 too!

 

Your numbers for the magazine are off, because you aren't including the cost to design it.  (membership numbers are off too) Up until now, we have paid a professional graphic designer (Jan Detanna, up until a few issues ago) to design DeLorean World.  I plan to donate my time to put future issues together, and I'm gunning for that Golden Quill award you speak of now!  (watch out Brickline!)  I'm hoping we can pass on the savings here to our members, either through a reduction in membership fees, or by being able to offer them more for that fee.

 

We have been looking at different insurance carriers' rates recently, and have switched printers multiple times.  Just like any responsible organization, I promise that we will do our best to keep our costs to a minimum, without sacrificing quality.  This will ensure we can be a viable entity for years to come!  No stone will be left unturned when I have my proposed business plan together for the journey forward.

My name is Steve Stratton and I am not a Delorean owner (yet.) But, I am a casual observer, dues paying DOA member and dues paying member and Vice-President of Bricklin International. I have met Marc, Kevin and a few other here at the joint DCS/BI show last year at Gettysburg, and I saw nothing that would question the integrity or love of the marquee of the Delorean owners that I met at the meet. From the go-karts, to the obstacle course, to the joint show, I think it is safe to say all owners of our respective cars (I have two Bricklins and no D...yet) are/would be very supportive of the club resources available to them; if they are available to them. 

That's key!
