Marc You should phrase it correctly - DOA has nothing to offer YOU! - and probably isn't offering anything either. I can see that. However, the existing chapters of DOA are offering something to DeLorean members in their area. Why the constant harassment? You tend to be critical of DOA and you don't want belong??? I doubt seriously if you have any appreciation for what DOA did for the DeLorean community in the beginning and for many of the early years (they had to deal with their share of pushy self righteous know-it-alls then too). Communication and information access has definitely changed the landscape and changing with the times has been slow for the DOA. I'm glad to see some members making the the attempt to keep it vital. How about a few positive suggestions? And --- don't be so critical (or take it personally) when someone doesn't want to do it your way or let you "volunteer" to help them. Right now, (as I see it) the DOA has nothing to offer. I have a personal connection to DCS, and have put countless hours of unpaid time and sweat in to it, as have many others (including you Josh). I would be disappointed if all of that work went to bail out the DOA.. I say this as I am planning a trip to Ohio/Lexington in the next few weeks to help Ken with show details. > > > The DOA promoting DCS and getting the word out to a large group that have been sheltered from anything outside of the DOA control (by design) will benefit the DOA and it's members just as much if not more than DCS. So, if the answer is "We have 500+ owners we can promote DCS too".. I say GOOD! do it! We all benefit. If the DOA wants to supplement their show registration, I don't see why that is anything you even need to discuss with DCS/Ken K. The DOA does not need permission from DCS to do that. > > > > [moderator snip] ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
