I also considered this route at one point in TIME... Majority of the props for the car are located on the lower engine cover between the rear quarter panels. Having an additional engine cover to swap out would be the fastest route as long as you had an extra set of hands to remove and install. I have followed most of the BTTF duplicate cars that we have all at least seen pictures of and one thing I noticed is that hardly anyone does the front end modifications. Anyone who has tried to shop for front fenders will probably agree with me when I say they chose not to mount anything to them and that's why. As I study over my die cast collection in the office right now I would say that everything else would actually come off fairly easy assuming you took the time to install with that intention. I am sure there are others out there who have more experience as I never actually went that route, yet, but I think the discussion has been ill and arguable these past couple days and focus may not be available right away. Despite these talks I can say that all the Delorean guys I have came across have been real salt of the earth folks and I do not see them spreading any negative energy around so don't let these chats discourage you. Good luck! At the same time, I'd like to have the car look more or less stock. The means for doing such a conversion seem to imply that the stuff is mounted permanently. Has anyone here considered what would be required to be able to quickly (ie, in an hour or two) be able to add or remove at least the exterior dress-up stuff? -- David Griffith dgriffi@xxxxxxxxxx edu A: Because it fouls the order in which people normally read text.
