That would entail an unnecessary redesign of the car, and scrapping the convertible. Remember, John DeLorean didn't plan on every vehicle he made having gullwing doors. It's just because his company failed that the DMC-12 is all we've got with the DMC badge on it, and it happens to have gullwing doors. He also didn't plan on every vehicle the company produced to have stainless steel body panels. (See DMCL's plans for bus, tug, farm equipment, etc.) Given that the Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky, and Opel GT did not have gullwing doors (and as gullwing doors would be impractical on a convertible), I think this expectation will not be realized. Nor will it have stainless steel body panels. I think this is smart business sense. I think a "new" DeLorean Motor Company would want to distance itself from features that make people think of a thirty-year-old automotive failure -- which, let's face it, is by and large the perception of the DMC-12. Thus endeth my 2¢. Farrar Hudkins #2613 Clint Pearson wrote: > > > I like the renderings to some degree. But I think they need more DMC-12 > influence (ie gullwing doors).
