Would be able to fix it if it was an automatic!!!! First thing I suggest is to check the fluid level in the transmission. Wild guess, it *could* be the input bearing, throwout bearing, or pilot bearing. Not being able to drive and hear the noise and exactly when it happens it is difficult to be more specific. In any case it will probably require removal of the trans and clutch and replacement of all three anyway. At least the pilot and throwout for sure. Other things that can help diagnose would be the # of miles on the car and clutch, and what work was done previously.
