Around two years ago I replaced the lights inside my car (doors, overhead, and console) with led's. I did this to help with battery draw down and I am pleased. I would just replace the console lights with Leds this takes about 10 minutes and besides you get a different look to the console, easy fast and cheap fix. The panel lights will be out until you turn on the marker or the headlights and, when on, they will be burning on the resistor at lower intensity and much cooler. The replacement relay should be a SPST rather than the OEM SPDT which is what does the trick. Or, you can just clip the center wire (it s/b the LGW wire) to the OEM relay plug-in. Warning!!!!!Warning!!!!!<WBR>!!!!! Don't attempt this if you are not auto electric savvy and sure of what you're doing. Messing around with relays can be dangerous and can cause fires and possibly serious damage to Harold McElraft - 3354 -- In _dmcnews@yahoogroupsdmcn_ (mailto:dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) , "Pasquale Lombardi" <pasquale.nj@pas> wrote: > > I believe that there was a fix to reduce the intensity > of the light and heat given off by the bulbs behind the AC control panel. > Does anyone have it? > Thank you, > Pat in NJ > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
