There is a way!
If the organization is co-operative in this, they could ask all attendants to leave there cell phone's number with them.
People that want to contact another person could have the name of the other person listed.
Once the other person registers at the desk, your number is given to them and they can contact you.

The organization uses computers so it's very easy to link people together. The only thing to do is make an entry in the registration database.

How does that sound?
