Actually, technically, you can have New and Improved, but it may not fit some general definitions of New and Improved. New torsion bars (NEW meaning built this year) that have been powdercoated (having IMPROVED scratch resistance) can be BOTH. I have someone looking into re-making Goodyear NCT tires, which would be NEW tires, with IMPROVED rubber compounds. While not a New design, the Tires will be New (2009 or later) using an Improved rubber compound not available in the 1980's. Many re-made DMCH parts are NEW parts based upon the original designs, but are often made from IMPROVED (newer) materials. However, I also agree NEW items (unique, did not exist before) cannot also be IMPROVED (making an existing product better).
