I can confirm that the output of the speed transducer that is bolted to the side of the transmission does indeed come up the loom to the multi plug. And Martin is correct in stating that it does not break out in any way. The wires are the two white wires that are inside the middle cable that exits out the bottom of the AT connector block. They are referenced against the black ground wire in that same cable. One of the white wires goes to the speed transducer, and one goes to the throttle position sensor. I have no idea why these signals are routed to the block, as they are also routed through the AT governor board down inside the speed transducer housing, but fortunately for me, they do route up to the block. I use these wires to get the speed and throttle position signals to my engine compartment mounted plug-and-play governor replacement box ---Jeff--- VIN 3034 Jeff Angwin On Thu, Apr 23, 2009 at 3:14 PM, Martin Gutkowski <martin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>wrote: > > > From my recollection of my friend Rich J working on his #2727, the o/p > from the little alternator comes up the loom to the multi-plug, but > doesn't actually break out in the plug, then loops back down to the > transmission - can you confirm? > > #2727 has long since been a 5-speed :-) > > Martin > > > > My first unit did have a new cable wired into the empty governor housing, > > just to get the speed transducer signals out to the engine compartment. > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
