He was correct in that actually installing the windscreen IS similar to installing one in a Lotus. You are correct that there is no Lotus windscreen that fits a Delorean. A problem he will face is that many glass shops do not want to install glass that they do not supply. It may be necessary for the glass shop to order the glass directly from DMCH and install it. Some money can be saved by removing the old, broken windscreen and cleaning the car up before the glass shop comes. Just wear gloves and eye protection. Don't forget to transfer any inspection or registration stickers and EZ pass velcro before throwing the old windscreen away.
