The cable isn't letting the mechanism inside return to the normal position. Try to lift up repeatedly on the outer door handle (lift up until you feel resistance of the cable trying to open the mechanism, and then release) and see if it allows the cable to free up enough to let the mechanism back down to it's rest position. This happens all the time to my passenger door as I need a new cable. I have to play with the outside handle as described until the slack is gone out of the cable and then I can unlock/lock the door, or shut the door for that matter when it is open since the mechanism holds the latches open if the cable is stuck. You will ultimately have to go swimming behind the panel and see if you pulled the cable out of it's route through the door. Hope this helps, Dani B. #5003 --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "daviddelorean" <daviddelorean@...> wrote: > > I replaced my driver side door handle.
