Does anyone know the history of this style of bracket? I ask because, this is one of the oddball differences I've found on my 1983 Delorean, I'm the 2nd owner and the previous owner kept all of his receipts, but I have been unable to find a reference there to him ever having changed to them. They are also, I believe from the photos, a slight different design then Grady's, albeit only slightly, not-stainless and no rivets. Did anyone else (i.e. Zilla or Fred Dellis) ever sell something similar, or has anyone else ever seen a "factory" version of these? Mike 17106 - '83 Cdn spec. He includes rivets to secure the strips and it's a nice touch..... but I didn't use them... they sit fine without it and the carpet and battery usually hold them down good enough. He even includes nuts and washers with them so if one or two... or more... have been lost you get new ones.
