Hello, The same thing happened to me, and in my opinion it is easier to just buy a new antenna assembly. Shop around, I forget where I got mine, but there are the same ones around for a bit less. The ribbon gear inside is most likely broken, and I couldn't find a replacement for just that part. The new units move faster, and I actually get better reception now too! Adrian Dunker 10674 -------------- Original message from "Shannon" <birdwells@xxxxxxx>: -------------- I forgot to add that the reason I wanted to know is that a couple of days ago I turned off my radio and the antennae didn't go down. It sounds like the motor runs but the antennae is not moving so am I correct in assuming that the inner line is probably broken? Is the best thing to do is to replace the whole assembly?
