I have had it happen to me twice. First time because I had a short in my plug wires, new wires fixed that. Second time was a clogged fuel filter and that was just as easy to fix. It wouldn't start back up. I had to push the car across the intersection and get a tow. The next day, it started up effortlessly. I haven't had this happen before and I've owned the car for almost 9 years. Details: The car wasn't warmed up yet. I had only driven it about a mile when this happened. It was raining, and since I live in the south bay area, the car almost never gets rained on. While trying to start it up again, the starter was cranking just fine. I'm thinking the moisture may have caused something to go wrong with the ignition. Or maybe it's the fuel pump relay. Any suggestions? I really don't want this to happen again. Flatbed towing isn't cheap. And the embarrassment of it all!
