John, thank you for the information. I just had a look at the Nissan shocks this morning. They are 39 mm wide at the bottom. And they show two marks where they are hitting the control arm and have been deformed. So the original shocks would not solve the problem. I will think about the possibilities I see: Grinding away aluminum where the shocks hit the arms or replacing the control arms with nowadays improved replacement parts that are working with Eibach setup.
