RE: [DML] Re: Fuel tank baffle

Jack,
What people don't take into consideration is the leaning back of the stock
set up of the car. If the front is lowered a slight amount the tank will be
flat at that point and it won't matter where the fuel pick up is.
I know and have told people long ago that you may need to keep from weaning
the car from station to station because I do set about 3" to 4" closer to
the front than the back.
If the set up is correct and the return line is pointing into the baffle
then there is normally NO problem. If you have an excess amount of water in
the tank and the baffle corrodes thru or breaks then I will send a new one
no charge + freight. I have replaced 1 in 3 years. I don't think other
people will warranty there products like that.
Trying to bring new products to the DeLorean community so some can bitch and
complain is one reason there isn't more newer products out there. This is
one reason I haven't made stainless steel studs for the exhaust. I could
have them in about 6 weeks if it wasn't for some trying to complain and
looking for something bad and wanting not to support what others have done.
This is also one reason that more good people don't run for president. Some
people always have to find something bad instead of looking for the good.
Keep on complaining and you keep on doing without.
John Hervey

Well let's see I would consider empty to be the "incorrect" amount of
gas... Even the stock baffle will have the same problem as John's
just not as soon... It's called "running on empty" and if you don't
consider that an incorrect amount of gas to keep in the tank have fun
getting towed while rocking out to it my friend.
