Bill, Thank you for answering my question. I did not want to start a war. I was just curious to know what kind of fuel economy the carbureted PRV can achieve. Your numbers look pretty good and about as good as K-Jet. I wonder how good electronic sequential injection can be. As I said, with $8.85 a gallon you're really thinking about saving every drop possible ;) It costs about $100 to fill up while those miles roll so slow... and that gas gauge drops so fast ;) Thanks, Tom ----- Original Message ----- From: "content22207" <brobertson@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, July 28, 2008 5:30 PM Subject: Re: [DML] Video Of Carbureted PRV Intake Manifold Removal I really don't want to ignite yet ANOTHER flame war, but since you asked: Fuel economy to/from SEDOC calculated between 23.8 and 25.2 MPG, depending upon speed. Of course relying upon a gas pump and the trip odometer isn't the most precise method of calculating fuel consumption (every pump will shut off with different counter pressure), but it's accurate enough to dispel the common misconception that carburetion is necessarily or inherently fuel inefficient. ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
