Tom gives good advice on this topic. I have only opened up a DeLorean fuel tank twice so I am not an expert on the topic or any other DeLorean topic for that matter. I would recommend disconnecting the battery before doing anything gas tank related. Sparks and gasoline fumes can be a lethal combination. Remove your spare tire, and then remove the fiberglass fuel pump access cover. Clean the area well to prevent contamination. You can then unscrew the retaining ring and lift out the fuel level sender. When you lift it out of the gas, still plugged in, wait for the gas to drain out and see if the low level light comes on, you can verify that it works. ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
