One of the reasons I think is that many of the people on the DML did not go to the show Many familiar faces and members of the DML canceled or did not register these are some of the 50 + rooms that I mentioned had room registered but not event registered we had 301 rooms taken in March by June we were holding 276 but when gas hit $4.00 a gallon we dived to 216 thursday, 224 Friday and 233 Sat. Never have we given back rooms before this. We picked up 40 rooms at the show so we got back to 250 to 270 rooms far below what could have been but lets face it gas made an big impact and many names on this list did not go. Mark you are one of them so no surprise. Not a problem but you are a good example of what happened. So if you all come to Vegas and Lexington we can beat the numbers again. Had we not had the cancellations but kept the add ons we would have been about 700 people as it was I am estimating we hit around 525 registered people that had at least one dinner. That is about the same as Chicago and I will figure it out later. Cars we are between 152 and 158 I think the 156 number is correct I have to check the licence photos Bottom line if you don't go you can't comment. Again thanks for the support this is not meant to complain I am very happy to all of you that came and we do understand the gas situation. Please start saving now and hopefully you can join us in Vegas or Lexington, This is a real problem that is here to stay and it will make me rethink both shows. But we will still give you the best show we can. The last few DCS shows you would get flooded with posts about the show and how it was on the DML but this year barely nothing on the DML. The only real thing I heard about at DCS 08 was Ron Wester and I hope he gets better and I am Praying for him.
