I won't respond directly about Claude on the DML. You can contact me off-line if you even care about it. As for Rob Grady, he is one of the most honest people you will ever meet. His work is top-notch. The only complaint I have ever heard about him that is true is that too often you have to wait to get into his shop and then it takes too long to get the car fixed. The only thing I can say about that is that fast work is not always good and good work cannot always be done fast. His rates and parts prices are fair and he will never use parts that he cannot trust and garantee. The biggest problem is the customer that brings the proverbial P.O.S into his shop after he just bought it and paid too much for it and now finds out what he REALLY has to spend!!!!!!!!! That and he is geographically isolated being way out on Long Island. As a measure of Rob take this as an example: At DCS '08 this past weekend as busy as he was, he still took time out to do emergency repairs for several people. How many other vendors did that? Rob then made a deal with Claude to buy those parts. When Rob assembled a team of trusted people (Me, Dave, and Mike) to help move the parts, it became clear to all of us that Claude has misrepresented what he was selling, it was all CRAP. Best I can tell, Rob still made good on his end of the deal. Claude has yet to even make a statement on how Rob "TRIED to rip him off" (tried implies that Rob lived up to his end of the deal). > > Rob is "DeLorean Royalty", a man who has earned a good reputation in the DeLorean community for the past 27 and continues to keep it. > > > --- On Sat, 6/14/08, cbl1739 <cbl302@...> wrote: > > From: cbl1739 <cbl302@...> > Subject: Re: [DML] PJ Grady > To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Date: Saturday, June 14, 2008, 10:28 PM > > > > > > > As a private person(non-business )Never had any work done by PJ > Grady....but on the other end of the spectrum,SELLING items of major > value to him/his Business or I should say HIM seeking me out to sell > to him...again never seeked him out to sell to him...(how long it > took him to find my personal info thru a Ebay auction(my phone > number) is beyond me!!) he basically tried to outright rip me off on > the whole deal.(payment wise) Again I cannot say anything about his > skills or workmanship. ..which most likely are AAA+++ rated...but > again you have to be major careful on selling anything of major value > to him/ His business. > > Claude > ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
