My fuel pump quit. I have no evidence of a relationship between the two. I would never have checked the filter if I hadn't removed the pump to test it. The seal between the barbed fitting and the filter is crumbling. You can't see this in the picture? The barbed fitting is loose. I'm just saying that if you have one that's about four years old, check it. As an aside. When testing the pump it will run when hooked to an outside power source but it pulls about 11 amps at 12 volts. I will be replacing it.
