If anyone has experience fixing a high idle problem and has any suggestions, I'd appreciate the help I have the workshop manual. First, I checked the Kohms between pin 9 and 11 on the ECU. With the engine hot it was 0.78 Kohms, and after it cooled a little it was 1.74 Kohms. Unplugging both connectors from the ECU made no difference, still 3,000 RPM Pins 4 & 5 gave 11.3 ohms, pins 3 & 4 gave 12.7 ohms. The idle position switch gave .3 ohms on idle position and 30 ohms off idle position. It was hard to tell if the Idle motor was working or not. Even when we did the test with 12V to the center and then alternately the outer pins. I think it's working? ECU connector pin 8 to ground gave an over limit (open) ohm reading in both the at rest and pedal depressed position. Does this give any idea of what's wrong? What's the next thing to test? Or to try? Thanks so much for your help.
