I use Castrol 20W50 as a "normal" oil but am an even bigger fan of Mobil 1 15W50 for this and other older Euro cars. I don't think 5W30 is a particularly good idea in this engine and can usually tell when a car comes in with that in it - the oil pressure reads way too low when hot.
