I joined the LEO club this past week for a local car show event where they invited an oil engineer to discuss various oil related topics with us. One of the interesting things he said was that newer oils tend not to have as much tolerance for engine blow-by because modern engines run cleaner. He suggested using a "Diesel" oil for older gasoline engines because they have more ability to withstand the blow by. I think he said they have more zinc?? --- Bradley Jardis <bjardis@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > thank you all very much for your expertise. im > bringing the car in for > an oil change tomorrow morning and will go over each > of these things > with my d mechanic. > ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
