Morning all. I just got home from work and had an interesting experience while cruising home on the highway. I will mention now that it is raining out, but I did not drive through any large puddles or anything. I have driven the car in the rain numerous times before with no problems. I have noticed that when the car is wet the belts will squeal a few times right when I get going. As I am driving down the highway (doing the precise speed limit of course ;) ) I felt a sudden jolt... sort of like I ran something over. Then a smaller jolt. Then the car started to lose power. By the time I got into the right lane and then the breakdown lane the car had shut off. I tried starting it back up immediately and then after two minutes.... no dice. After ten minutes I tried again and she fired right up. Was a wee bit rough at first but then once she got going there were no further problems. I would be grateful for any insight you experienced folk might have.
