Thanks Rob, I actually used 2 part epoxy on it yesterday, which I hope will be OK. I filed the center rib down, and roughed the surfaces up with sandpaper. After that, I painted the underside with Rustoleum semi- gloss black and applied the new vacuum routing and other labels you sent me. The cover looks like new, and you're right, I am marveling at the strength of the new backbone! The cracked cover was so flimsy before, now it sits nice and high.
