Here in Dallas in 90 degree weather and in a traffic jam we do turn off the engines and have a tail gate party.:-)). Really we do turn off the engine and make do. Yes the engine can get hot with the AC on and you may have to take the idle up to 1200 with a stock Motorola alternator to over come the current load on ac with the radiator fans . They draw the most current and will run the battery down and the AC will cause the engine to over heat. My biggest fear when traveling is getting suck in a traffic jam and the vehicle overheating. How possible is this if the fans are working properly and the coolant is fresh, but it may be over an hour in crawling traffic? Will the constantly running fans do any electrical overload damage? Would lifting the rear window louver improve air flow? john ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
